at Green Gulch Farm. Led by Janis Cooke Newman, 10/25 -0 10/29, 2023
Service Description
A consistent meditation practice not only eases stress, improves concentration, and increases happiness, it also makes you a better writer. During this 5 day/4 night writing retreat, you will not only have plenty of uninterrupted time to write, you will also develop the tools to cultivate a meditation practice of your own. Each day, Janis will offer either a guided meditation or mindfulness practice designed to feed and inspire your writing. In the evenings, everyone will gather evening for a one-page salon to share the writing we've been working on all day. In-between, you can write, sit in one of the tranquil gardens, or hike one of the many nearby trails. All accommodations are singles in the Japanese-style retreat house. Each room has either a queen or a king bed, desk, balcony or patio. There is one half-bath for every two rooms, and one shower for the 12 participants. All meals are provided by the Zen students who live at Green Gulch, with most of the ingredients coming from their organic garden.
