Writing Retreat in San Miguel de Allende
with Janis Cooke Newman, 2/17 - 2/23, 2024
Service Description
Spend 6 days writing in one of the most beautiful cities in all of Mexico, the colonial-era San Miguel de Allende. Our accommodations are in the 7-room boutique bed and breakfast, Casa de la Cuesta (we have reserved the entire hotel). Spend your day writing in the tropical courtyard or on one of the hotel's spectacular terraces. Or take a break from writing, and wander the cobblestone streets of San Miguel. Each day, Janis will lead either a generative or craft workshop, and in the evening, everyone will gather to read what they've been working on. Accommodations include a full breakfast every morning, and are single-occupancy. (If you are interested in sharing a room, they all can be made up with twin beds, please write to Janis at info@litcampwriters.org for rates.) Price excludes travel to Del Bajío International Airport in Guanajato, also known as the Leon airport. Casa de le Cuesta runs a car service to and from the Leon airport. One-way car service runs from $90 for a 3-person sedan to $180 for a 10-person van. Please note that though the schedule below says the retreat ends on February 21, it actually goes through February 23 (the limitations of Wix). Leader bio: Janis Cooke Newman is the award-winning author of two novels and a memoir. She is also the founder of LitCamp.
